Reo Coker to sign in summer?

I have read on many sites now that talented West Ham capt. Nigel Reo-Coker completed a medical for Arsenal in January but wouldn't be signing until the summer. Why??!?!? Who would he replace in the first team - no-one! Yes he is a competent attacking midfielder with good ball control, vision, passing ability and he doesn't give up (~lets be fair to the lad as he is one of their better players and he is linked to the hallowed Arse~) but what's he got in his repetoire to come before Diaby, Meira or Denilson in the race to grab a seat on the bench?

Being an Arsenal bench warmer must be preferable to scuffing it out in the Championship but why pay his wage bill when he wouldn't be played.

Is this a fabrication by Cokers agent or can anybody shed some light on the topic please?!?!?!

dude he signed for Aston villa and he wont be picked for the first team squad any way he will be a bench warmer or a reserve.
